中水榮成鋼絲繩廠始建于1976年，是中國農業發展集團總公司直屬中型金屬制品加工企業，是中國最大的漁用鋼絲繩生產廠家。本廠地處交通便利暢達的山東省榮成市石島管理區，其中石島港是國家一類對外開放港口，可與國內外各大港口直航，距離威海機場30公里，煙臺機場120公里，青島機場230公理；經威海、煙臺、青島乘火車可直達全國，乘飛機可飛往世界各地。
本廠主要產品有各種規格的熱鍍鋅、光面鋼絲繩、鋼絞線、回火輪胎胎圈鋼絲、鋁絞線鋼芯、光纜鋼絲、漁網鋼絲、塑管鋼絲、大棚鋼絲及各種商品鋼絲、鐵絲、鋼帶等，年綜合生產能力20000噸，產品主要銷往山東、遼寧、河北、江蘇、天津等省市，并出口東南亞、美國、西非、日本、韓國、中東等國家和地區。
本廠始終堅持“質量第一，用戶至上”的經營宗旨，嚴格按照國標、行業標準及國際標準組織生產，具有完善的質量保證體系，產品質量穩定可靠，“石島”牌系列金屬制品以耐腐蝕、抗拉強度高、使用壽命長等特點而深受廣大用戶歡迎。1988年，先鍍后拔鋼絲繩獲農牧漁業部優質產品獎；1990年獲得采用國際標準合格證書；1993年取得冶金工業部頒發的圓股鋼絲繩生產許可證；1994年獲自營進出口權；1996年至今，連年被山東省農業銀行評為“AAA”級信用企業；2000年5月，船用鍍鋅鋼絲繩通過國家漁業船舶檢驗局工廠認可，并獲工廠認證許可書；2000年6月，獲山東省技術監督局頒發的計量保證確認合格證書；2000年9月，通過ISO9002國際質量體系認證；2000年11月，取得煤炭工業礦用鋼絲繩安檢標志證書。
